Our team is participating in the AMHA "Gas & Groceries" raffle. Each ticket is a chance to win your choice of cash or gift cards valued at $2000 (first prize), $1000 (second prize), or $500 (third prize). Only a limited number of tickets will be sold! They are $10 each with funds supporting our team. The Scorpions played their first home game (or the "home opener" as the players called it) against the Petawawa Team 3 U9s on Thursday night! It was an exciting game for all involved and the kids are now looking forward to their first away game of the season in Pembroke this coming Thursday. GO SCORPIONS GO!

The Scorpions have an awesome logo courtesy of our fantastic coach & trainer Graeme, and our friends over at Gilks created this banner for us to hang outside of our dressing room. We are also sending a big shout-out to Mike this week for joining Curtis & Curtis on-ice to run our practice! We are so fortunate to have such a great group of parents on our team this year and are especially thankful to Mike for signing up as an on-ice helper. 

The Scorpions got to try on their Packers jerseys this evening for photo night. Most of our players have just moved up from the U7 level (Timbits jerseys) or they are totally new to AMHA, so it was exciting for them to wear the Packers logo for the first time! There were lots of big smiles as everyone tried on their jerseys - we even kept them on for practice once our photos were done.
